Alleygates
The Action Group incorporates the company name “Alleysafe”. This is the name of the sector of our business that is concerned with the installation of what we term alley-closures and what is generally known as alley-gates.
The entry’s between blocks of terraced housing in cities throughout Britain have become dangerous and sometimes dirty places. “Rat-runs” is a term frequently applied to these areas and they have become favoured haunts for down and outs, prostitutes, fly-tippers et al. Burglars use alley-ways to access the rear of properties and ply their evil trade.
Bin-bag mountains and dead animals are common place in alleyways – all these factors lead to demoralized residents, devalued properties and create major health risks.
Sealing off these alleyways achieve many positive outcomes: Reduces crime, only residents have keys + other services, improves property values, enhances the environment. Action have been involved in the production and installation of alleygates both in Liverpool, Wirral and Manchester.
